Location and Seminar Venue
The ISPST 2003 seminar will be held at Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute which is relatively close to Tehran Mehrabad airport and city centre. Tehran as the capital city of Iran has a great deal to offer. It is situated at the foot of Alborz mountains and is full of life and character and attractions include museums and bazaars.

Iran is one of a few countries in the world which has the proper four seasons; Tehran's weather in May is normally mild and sunny.
We can organise several post-seminar trips to visit various historical places of Iran such as Isfahan and Shiraz (Perspolis).

Travel and Tours
International and domestic flights arrive at Tehran's Mehrabad airport which is thirty minutes drive from the IPPI campus. Mehrabad airport is served by various airlines including Iran Air, British Airways, Lufthansa, Swiss, KLM, Alitalia, Austrian Airlines, Emirates, Gulf Air and Aeroflot with flights from Europe, Middle East, Asia and Far East.

Most foreign nationals are required to obtain visa to travel to Iran. You should contact the seminar secretariat if you have any questions regarding how to obtain visa.
Hard currencies (US Dollars, Euros) may be exchanged at the Bank Melli office located in Mehrabad Airport. The current rate of exchange is approximately 8000 Iranian Rials to 1 US Dollar (correct in November 2002). Selected businesses like hotels in Iran accept credit cards and the preferred credit cards are Visa and Mastercard.
All participants, including speakers, will be expected to register for the ISPST 2003 programme. Travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of each participant and no direct compensation is awarded for speakers at the ISPST 2003. Your submission of an extended abstract testifies to the fact that you will accept these conditions. The languages of the seminar will be English and Persian (Farsi).
Participants will be given an extended abstract booklet and CD-ROM of all the oral and poster presentations. Both the booklet and CD-ROM are included in the registration fee. Extra copies will be available for purchase at the seminar.
Limited table top exhibition space is available for those firms or organisations wishing to display products, services, hardware, software and literature relating to the theme of the seminar.
