Oral/Poster Presentations

Authors are reminded that the deadline for submission of extended abstracts is
17 March 2021 (Persian calendar: 26 Esfand 1381).Accepted papers will be included in the seminar proceedings and will also be presented either orally or by poster display.

Instruction for Authors

Please follow these instructions for preparing your extended abstract(s) for the ISPST 2003 proceeding booklet and CD-ROM. Please prepare your extended abstract using MS-Word (97-2000) and submit it together with a PDF copy of your file for inclusion in the seminar proceedings. Do not encode or compress files. The extended abstracts must be in English. Please adhere strictly to the following instructions so that the seminar proceedings will maintain a continuity of design.

    Content of extended abstracts: The one page extended abstract should contain sufficient information for the scientific committee to be able to make a valid decision as to the intrinsic merit of the paper and its relevance to the aims of the seminar.

Extended abstracts should include:

    Length: Extended abstracts must be limited to one page A4 size paper including text, tables, figures, equations and references.

    Lay-out and style: Use Microsoft Word and select A4 size paper with portrait (vertical) orientation. Set the left and the right margin to 20mm; the top and bottom margin should be 25mm. Use Times New Roman type and single line spacing throughout. Unless otherwise stated text should be left justified. Do not use headers or footers. Leave one blank line between paragraphs. Do not number the pages.

    Title: Title should start on top line and capital letter used only on first letter of major words. Title should be in bold and centred with 14 point type. Title should be as concise as possible and not longer than two lines.

     Authors list: Authors names should be centred with 12 point type and the name of the presenting author underlined. Indicate up to 6 authors names and initials; if more than 6 authors, list the first six and add "et al".

    Affiliation: This part should be typed with 12 point type followed by e-mail address of presenting author. Leave a blank line between affiliation and main text.

    Main text: This part should be typed with 10 point type. In this section, page format should be changed to two columns with 5mm gap between them. Primary headings should be typed with bold capital letters using 12 point type and separated from the previous and following paragraphs by a blank line. Suggested primary headings are "INTRODUCTION", "EXPERIMENTAL", "RESULTS AND DISCUSSION", "CONCLUSIONS" and "REFERENCES".

    Tables and figures: These must be legible when reproduced by photocopy. Figures and tables must be embedded in the abstract and no attached or linked files will be accepted. Figure captions should be placed below the illustration (picture, line drawing, graph, etc.). The figure number is considered part of the figure caption. The table name and caption goes at the top of the table. Please bear in mind that the seminar proceedings will be printed in black and white.

    References: This part should be typed with 10 point type. References should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text and identified in the text, tables and figures in parentheses. If a publication has more than six authors, list the first six authors and add "et al". 

*Full Papers

    In addition to the ISPST programme, authors are encouraged to submit full length research papers for publication in the Iranian Polymer Journal (IPJ)[ISSN:1016-3255]. Original research papers reporting new research results, following usual refereeing procedure, will be published in the IPJ shortly after the ISPST 2003 programme.
